    Beschreibung

Auf dem Edge-Router edge1.ntt-esch.fra1.eth-services.de wird ein Firmware-Update durchgeführt.

Wartungsfenster: Samstag, 24.10.2026, 22:00 Uhr bis Sonntag, 25.10.2026, 02:00 Uhr (MESZ)

    Auswirkungen

    Description

A firmware update will be performed on edge router edge1.ntt-esch.fra1.eth-services.de.

    Maintenance window: Saturday, 24 Oct 2026, 22:00 CEST (20:00 UTC) to Sunday, 25 Oct 2026, 02:00 CEST (00:00 UTC)

    Impact

    • VPS services: No impact expected.
    • BGP sessions on edge1.ntt-esch.fra1: Unavailable during the maintenance.

    Procedure

Prior to the update, all BGP sessions on the device will be shut down in a controlled manner, allowing traffic to be rerouted to alternative paths in an orderly fashion. Once the update has been completed and verified, the sessions will be re-established.

    No customer action is required.

    Maintenance window

The stated window serves as a buffer. The actual interruption of BGP sessions is expected to be shorter.

22 Oct 2026, 12:45 UTC The update of the systems is proceeding as planned. Concerns about the effectiveness of the security release have largely been resolved. A PHP core developer has confirmed an additional vulnerability, but it is unrelated to the previously announced issues and is not rated as critical. Most internal systems and other public services are back in operation. As no vendor patches are available yet for the regular status page, status updates will continue to be published on this page for the time being. The customer management portal and VPS management will remain offline for now while the situation continues to be monitored. A return to normal operation is planned for Sunday, 25 October 2026.

21 Oct 2026, 15:45 UTC There are indications that the published security release may not fully resolve the vulnerabilities. Until the situation has been clarified, all affected systems, including internal services and the customer management portal, will remain out of operation as a precaution. Further updates will be posted here.

21 Oct 2026, 15:00 UTC The update of the affected systems is proceeding as planned. Parts of the internal infrastructure are already back in operation. The security updates for the customer management portal have been applied. It will be released once the outstanding fixes for the underlying backend components are in place.

20 Oct 2026 The PHP-based public services were shut down as a precaution. VPS are not affected.

Reported

3 days ago 2026-10-19 22:00 UTC

The PHP security team has published an unscheduled security release for two critical vulnerabilities, each rated CVSS 9.2. Read the announcement

To protect customer data, the PHP-based public services have been proactively shut down until the patches have been applied and verified. The VPS themselves are not affected and remain online. Only the VPS management interface is temporarily unavailable. Services will then be restored step by step. No definite time can be given at this point.

Appropriate action on customer-managed VPS systems is recommended as well.

As per latest update the feed A has been switched over to the grid at 19:24 with minor delay. feed B experienced a 2 hours delay as some parts on the BMS needed replacement.

As of 21:00 CET, both feeds are powered by the grid again.

While official confirmation from NTT is pending, We consider the situation resolved but remain on standby on-site for the next hour.

The building was total 10 days and 15 hours on generator power and no issues were experienced during the entire timeframe.

Dear Client,

We would like to inform you that the FG building will continue to be powered entirely by our generators.

Due to unplanned switching disruptions, this measure is necessary to avoid any risks associated with a premature return to the grid operator's regular power supply, especially during the current switching and shutdown work.

We will only return to normal operation once the work has been successfully completed and the regular grid supply has been restored in a stable manner.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time if you have any questions.

The power outage of Feed B in Building E has been resolved without any service interruptions.

The latest update for Building F remains in place, as it continues to be powered by generators. A switchover to the grid is planned for this evening.

Reported

8 months ago 2026-02-10 10:33 UTC

The latest update for Building F remains unchanged.

There is an ongoing power outage affecting one feed in Building E due to a failed battery string. While we are not currently directly impacted, the XC B-side to carrier Cogent and NTT are terminated in Building E, which means their equipment is likely operating on degraded power feeds.

At this time, we do not expect any issues.

As of the latest update, several buildings have been swapped to on-grid again. Building F, where our equipment is housed, is currently still on generator power and is expected to be switched to grid tomorrow.

Original message from NTT:

This measure is intended to avoid any risks associated with a premature return to the grid operator's regular power supply, particularly during the current switching and shutdown work.

Generator operation will be maintained until the shutdown planned by our grid operator for tomorrow afternoon is complete. Only after the successful completion of this work and a stable restoration of the regular grid supply will we return to normal operation.

We have been informed by NTT GDC that there is ongoing power maintenance on both feeds, during which external grid connectivity has been cut to perform maintenance on the grid handover.

At this time, the entire campus is running on generators, and transfer back to the grid will be performed once maintenance is completed.

While the situation is being closely monitored by NTT on-site staff and no issues are expected, this is an out-of-the-ordinary situation and therefore a risk of impact remains.
