Our DE-CIX ports in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Munich are currently disabled due to multiple ongoing maintenance activities on the DE-CIX side.
Instead of draining and restoring the ports for each individual maintenance window, we’ve decided to keep them disabled until all planned maintenance work has been completed. The current expectation is for the maintenance to be finished by the end of August.
No customer impact is expected.
The ports will be re-enabled once all maintenance activities have been completed.
The incident is resolved since last update and DNSSEC has been enrolled on the main domain using new keys.
We are currently observing early signs of recovery, as NSEC3 for DNSSEC is being correctly validated again. We will use the opportunity to perform a key rollover once the TTL for DNSSEC has expired on all clients.
We are currently investigating an issue affecting .de domains where the .de zone is propagating incorrect DNSSEC data, leading to DNS resolution failures for DNSSEC-enabled domains.
Initial analysis indicates this issue originates on the DENIC side.
As a mitigation measure, we have temporarily removed DNSSEC from our primary domain. However, due to the nature of DNS propagation and caching, some impact may still persist.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
The situation was caused by human error. A mitigation has been applied and RETN is up again.
We are currently observing an outage of carrier RETN/AS9002 due to failed transport between NTT FRA <-> DRT FRA from partner network. Traffic was automatically shifted towards other carrier and no customer impact is expected.
