No more issues have been observed since the suspected faulty optic has been disabled. A technician visit to swap the optic is pending. We will continue to monitor and intervene when necessary.

We have identified an potential failed optic, showing high amount of egress drops as root cause. The interface has been disabled and LACP is currently running on degraded redundancy. As this only impacts a small subset of total network capacity, enough redundancy is still in place.

We are currently observing various brief disconnects in the length of ~30 seconds each for transport towards DRT campus. To avoid further impact, several carriers have been drained. We are awaiting feedback from partner network.

The situation has been ongoing for several days during EMEA peak time, with 300ms+ on FRA metro transport. As a result, Sparkle remains disabled.

No ETR is currently provided by Sparkle.

The same situation was observed on 04.11 during peak time, resulting in congestion towards various targets terminated or traversing PE router in DRT campus. A ticket has been opened and Telecom Italia acknowledged the congestion. Session will remain drained until restoration is in place.

We are currently observing high latency via carrier Telecom Italia Sparkle towards various targets due to congestion between Frankfurt Equinix 5 and Frankfurt DRT Campus.

To avoid further impact, the carrier has been drained.

Unfortunately, Telecom Italia has proven to not be as premium as they advertise on their website. As this is not the first issue we've observed due to their transport, we will re-evaluate its presence in the IPT mix.
